Presenting Our Idea

We were given the instructions to present a treatment which is a small idea of our music video and what we will be including. We considered all the major factors that are involved in the production of music videos such as mise-en-scene, camera, locations and editing which helped us decide whether we want to portray our idea through a narrative, conceptual or performance based. Through our pitch we analysed the lyrics of the song that we are going to produce our music video on and we related the props to the lyrics such as the use of the colour red ( for paint) suggesting the anger, love and frustration infused to outline the mixed signals she's getting. In terms of feedback we were given a suggestion to include a male actor facing heartbreak but because we are trying to continue Sia's story of a one sided heartbreak it makes sense to use a female actor and focus on her instead of including a male that doesn't go along with the storyline and doesn't link to the narrative.
